Hey guys!
so i just wanted to know for those of you with body kits, if you have an 00-02 cavalier and you bought a kit and the front bumper fits great, and is not fiberglass...
so where did you get it?
how much? (+shipping) did you pay...
and what style is it.
throw up some pics please of your front if you got em!
eventually i will want a front bumper that fits "perfect". i konw that word is almost taboo but we can all dream right? lol

so does it just depend on where i get the bumper? if and when i get a new front...
cause my front fits...but does not line up.
nothing to do with how i drive, cause i drive well and we are not talking about wrecking the bumper...just fitment issues.
so is this just from a crappy brand bumper? like not made well...
i was just wanting some input on a great reliable place to get a bumper that i know will be great...
i know aftermarket stuff is rough...
buy a quality kit and not some ebay garbage and you should be fine.
as for none fiberglass kits, the only ones i know of off hand for the 00-02 are the rksport type j and wings west kits.

I recently bought my body kit from versus motor sports and it fits great. Not a single prob with the front. The rear was warped and fit like @!#$ but the sides were good too.

WW Big mouth here, bought it from Jay Van Motorsports $250 picked up already painted
thanks alot guys!
my sides and rear are fine...
(unique rear too)
just wondering about a where to find a quality front later on...
Dude, weve had this discussion before.
your front is fine, it just needs support to stop the sag.
you need to get a rebar with the front crush guard in tact and trim it to fit, and if it still sags, just use L brackets to hold up the bumper.
you will spend a fraction of the money to get it fitting right

not saying this isnt true, but i disagree. the actual shape of the bumper intrudes on the area for the lights. its uneven. its not sagging. its very "solid" if you know what i mean...like its not gonna move, cause its not "sagging" its just shaped as is.
gimmie some time ill take pics and if you dont mind let me know what you think after that i guess?
im all about that "fraction of the money" deal...lol
Okay, if that is the case, its a fiberglass kit, therefore you can make your own piece to fill the hole.
Go to your local body shop or even autozone or whatever you guys have in the states, grab the body mesh, and some fiberglass resin, hardener, and the fiberglass fabric.
Use the mesh to create the curves/look etc and then you use the fuberglass on top of that.
after its looking how you want, sand, fill, sand until desired shape and smoothness..
and then paint.
Im sure I didnt go into enough detail to get the job done but if you just search the internet there are tons of how to's.
it will cost you MAYBE 80 bucks for the supplies and a weekend to do it and you saved $250 for a new bumper.
IDN though its up to you
But post up pics before the final decision so we can see what you are up against.
RK sport import fighter, best looking kit for a cav other than the LS sport kit with wings west type W stuff
In order to get the import fighter front to work you need the 95-99 fenders, new sidemarker lights, turn signals and headlights, well worth the conversion the look is amazing

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
import fighter does look amazing

stock eco with 110 shot <<<<<<<<<WTF???

the fenders are the same. as for needing new headlights and corner lights, thats also not true. all that needs to be done is trim the bumper to accomodate the larger headlight housings on the 00-02s.
a full conversion is definitely not neded.
