its been a long while since my last post, been doing alot of stuff but all is coming out well

on my 03 cavi one ogf my headlight went out, so i ordered a new pair online (5900k)
so while im waiting for those to come in i dont want to get pulled over so i decided to go to auto zone or whatever and baught some silver star bulbs for a temporary fix.

put them in.
now we have a problem.

now for some reason my high beam signal on in my dash stays lit when i turn my high beams on or off. also my low beams are dangerously dim, my freaking drl are brighter. also my fog lights won't turn on (probably cuz the high beam light is telling the computer that high beams are on)

i tried taking out the bulbs and puting back in a few times but it didnt fix it
its going to be 2 weeks till my new bulbs come in
any help would be appreciated

i put the wrong bulbs in the z once. had similar problems. never figured it out. dash lights quit too....

they are 9007's, so they are the right bulbs

yeah. i think i put in 9005's. whatever ones that were the same plug style. it was retarded.

check the plug for the bulbs, see if there are any schorch marks. I had a bad bulb from E-bay that did exactly that. It was bad internally, and fried the connector, and some of the wiring.

But these bulbs you ordered....the 5900k, do you have an HID kit, and you put silverstars in until your new HID bulbs come in.....cause if so, there might be some problems there.

i never did an HID kit, the bulbs fit in and worked fine until one went out about 3 months later.
the cops are strict in my area so i orded a new set online immediately and then went to buy a temporary replacement, the silver stars.
its is the weirdest thing.

my new bulbs have been shipped and should be here hopefully by tuesday, lets hope the bulbs i bought are just faulty.
