Alright I know how to take the motors out and put them in that's not the problem..
my passenger side died during the winter so I went to replace it today with my spare... turns out something hit the peice that attaches to the window and threw it out of wack.... it causes the window to sort of jerk up... then it won't go down without guidance...
The problem is the only other spare motor I have is a driver side motor... and the motor i need is a passenger side motor... I hooked up the driver side to the passenger side and it goes up and down (except in reverse to the button.. now my question is.. will the drivers side motor actually work on the passenger side?
are you using factory motors or aftermarket?
The window motors are all the same (front, rear, left and right). The regulators they attach to are different. You can mount a driver side motor on the passenger side regulator and it will work. If you want a new regulator with a motor already mounted, you can get aftermarket regulators very reasonably off eBay or other online vendors (for the coupes and sedans, not the convertibles).
I'm using factory motors.. i'm just going to swap the motor themselves...
wow I must say swapping the motor was definitely the better way to go... and was not that hard at all (aslong as you use a new strong bit to drill out the rivets)
