front Bumber

I am fixing my type J front end and can't seem to get a good line underneath the headlights. Its like a spacer needs to be underneath the part where the 4 bolt holes are in between the headlights. I have the crush foam but it seems to small and isn't helping out....someone said use L brackets....how? Anyone can help?? Pics are helpful.
Its like there are waves in the part that goes underneath the headlights....

Part of why I'm fixing it....it was sagging for awhile.

I had the same problem with my type j front bumper, I originally took the whole honeycomb stuff off but that was not right, so i then got the foam stuff and started over I then had to cut it down to fit like in the rksport directions and got the dealership platic clips (the big ones) and then still wasnt good enough I then made some small aluminum bracket that bolt from the bottom of the car and then screwed in up behind the bumper itself. (works really well) and that made it very stable but still wasnt a perfect gap free line between the hood and the bumper in the middle the problem area. heres the secret, you can adjust the whole steel bumper front brace that the foam absorber attaches to, thats how I got my type j to fit perfect! hope this helps.

After looking at what you said, I must not clearly understand, b/c I see no way of doing that...how did you setup the brackets and move the frame?

i moved the brace up and down when i took it off the car to paint, there are four bolts to it then its off. and the brackets are like 4to5 in. and are attatched to the bumper underneath the left and right air opening then to the bottom of the frame were your radiator attaches to the car at the bottom
