I wish to swap to a 2nd gen front end on my cav. Do i need to swap fenders too? I read on here before 95-05 cav fenders are all the same.

No you can keep your fenders unless you do a 99 and under swap. Then you need to get the brackets for the corner lights unless you do one piece headlights.

no, 95-99 require the headlight bracket, 00+ do not.

so if you are switching to a 00-02 style, you wont need to do anything with fenders.

If you are switching to 95-99 style, you will need to cut the brackets off a donor car, and probably weld them in place.

ok thank you. straight answers are hard to find here... Ive decided against 95-99 because of the headlight wiring. If anything i'll go 00-02. Type j isnt working for me and i dont really like the 04's front
