Has anyone relocated their windsheild washer nozzles on an 03 fire to somewhere that they might not freeze up so easily? I was thinking somehow putting them in the plasic cowl piece or on it. Just wondering if anyone has done it , if you have pics that would be appreciated and how you did it.
they will still freeze there.

add a washer heater to the washer tank it works.
Or just put washer fluid in thats meant for cold temps....it gets routinly to -20c here and mine never freezes.
I am just glad to hear you are relocating for freezing, and not something ghey like light up monkey pissers.
Yes, get special washer fluid.

As said just get some washer fluid thats good for -40C
I've tried the low temp washer fluid and it didn't work., the prestone stuff to be specific. I like the idea of a tank heater though, what would you use because all I have seen is larger ones that run on ac voltage.
maybe something like a nitrous bottle warmer might work?
not sure, but possibly an option
ni i have seen the wahser fluid heatewrs .and to me this seems like a bad idea.warm liquid hitting cold glass in the winter.anyhone see the possibilites

If it is heated to the right temperature, it would be like throwing hot water on a iced windshield. You run the risk of cracking the windshield due to the sudden temp change. Even if the nozzles are freezing over, I don't see how warming the water will melt it instantaneously, it would have to be "hot" water.
I would say if your nozzels are freezing up, keep some spare -20 windshield washer fluid on hand and splash it on there from time to time to keep them clear. Generally once you get the fluid worked through the spray system the nozzles won't freeze back up so quickly. Unless you are driving in weather colder than -20 degrees?
Relocate yourself to warm weather.
I am smart.
The proper way of using the word seen. It is not I seen it that would be I saw it. He has seen the car is the right way to use the word. English class is Cool. By the way thats my sig
I live in wisconsin so occasionally it does get colder than -20 with the windchill, in fact it was just -35 with the windchill recently. I can see where the warm liquid on a cold windshield isn't such a good idea.
So all the new GM cars and trucks that have heated windshield washer fluid, come with special windshields?
I dont think so...

If thats the case then maybe the heated washer fluid is not "hot" enough to crack the glass. I did a quick search on google and found a windsheild washer fluid heat system that apparently warms the fluid to 150 degrees. Seems a little hot to me though...
Now.. if my windshield were frozen over one morning and I went out with a pot of boiling hot water and dumped it over the windshield, I would probably have a problem.
water boils at 212...
so 150 is hot but definetlly not boiling...
also the heater is in the tank, so they tank gets to 150...
doesnt mean the lines do they may still remain froozen.
either way. its still the large temperature difference. and no. i do not foresee the heated tank doing anything for the frozen nozzles for the reason, if they are frozen, you cant flow the heated fluid through them. i would look into your different options of washer fluid.
you could always buy a concentrate, and just don't add as much water to it....
oh, and i almost forgot....

i think that this is my favorite post for the day....
that is all.
Well i dunno what issues your having...the fluid i am using is good down to -45c which is way way colder then anything your going to experience. Go and get walmart brand winter fluid. Seems like a no brainer to me.
