OK heres the dealio just found a great find on craigs list

great looking body right lol
but no interior or motor so my plan is to transfer some of the body over to my cavailer which just so happens to be the exact same year and design (DUH)
so i was wondering if anyone had any advise be fore i get started this weekend
as well as if ....

those trunk lid wires are for your back ups. most likely you'll have to remount them some where to pass inspection.

I think it looks good W/O the inners. then again, here in WI, we dont have inspection ethier. are those CDR9's on there?

swapping body panels and having it look professional is no easy task. I think you'd be better off dropping an eco in it and adding a drivers seat and calling it a day.

that was kris bloom from street source mag's car. i used to sponsor him back when i owned TR. i got him the trunk (should be carbon fiber), hood, kit, and roll cage. its been awhile since ive seen it. what is he (or the current owner) asking for it? is it still in ID?

id say loose the wing, get the fenders to actually match the rest of the car (look slightly off), engine, some interior, and go.

Yup sure is Kris;s old car don't think he is still the owner , and its still in idaho
when you guys did the trunk did you wire the reverse lights up on the side or what do you have going on?
and for as what he is asking for it I am working on a trade with Brian. Hopefully everything goes well

and i think she is sexy just the ways she looks, I would love to drop a motor and some interior in and call it good just the way she is, but on the same end this was someone else project and I am trying to look at this a "parts Car" so that I can cont my project. Make it my own, know what i mean? And don't worry i will post pictures as soon as possible, as long as everything goes well with Brian

buying a parts car that has more history, and is possibly nicer than your project is always a bad idea.....

Re: body Change

For it to be from a guy from Street Source, why does it have a wing that looks like the cheap Autozone wing? Aside from the holes in the stands it looks exactly like one of em. Hopefully the owner after him put that on...

That would be sweet, wanna give me a motor , tran and ecu etc ? lol
building on a budget and all
Re: body Change

if your buildin on a budget i would suggest you start working on your own car rather than buy a car that is perfect minus motor and interior, never take on 2 projects at once. sell your car or keep it as a beater use the nicer one hell some one may of done the body work exterior parts then y don't you do the eng build on it and interior work it's a lot easier to take soemthign that is allready 1/2 way done than to start from nothing on a budget. just my .02 .

btw i dunno how your junk yrds are around you but i can grab a full motor and tranny for 700 bucks, and it comes with a 1 yr warrenty.

Re: body Change

^^^agreed... but get rid of the flames, tail lights, windshield banner, and wing. You're not gonna do anything some one else hasn't done if you use parts from that anyway. You could some changes on it and paint it and it'll be different.

Re: body Change

Just my humble opinion, what i would do is change some body pieces (THE WING) and add some custom paint, maybe swap the rims. Then all of a sudden the car is custom to your likings and not the previous owners. I would get a bright ass metallic black paint and smoke all the lights all around. Then get some dark gray wheels, but thats just me. As for engine, LD9 supercharged engines can be easy to find on here....... C'mon guys help a project out!!! And i just noticed a small gap in the rear bumper, the same one i had, which is why i went back to stock in the rear. But good friggin luck! with a starting point like that the outcome should be... AMAZING!!!

BTW, is that white cav behind it your other one? cuz that is not the same year/design lol

Re: body Change

so....... this car has no engine, an intercooler and a factory exhaust. oh, its also got mispainted fenders and a wing that looks like something made in highschool welding class. thats ok, its got some sikk 2NR flames on da hood.

I would avoid this like the plauge

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

Is it just me or is the fenders a different shade than the rest of the car? Also them flames on the hood look like crap in my opinion. If they were going to paint a carbon fiber hood like that. They should have painted the hood and left the tear drop carbon fiber. Also what happened to the motor, tranny and interior? Like poser said what's up with the intercooler still setting in behind the bumper? But then agian i see no pipes at all going to it. Looks like to me someone was making it look like is boosted when not.
