u have a 98 2 door red cavalier
when i bought it it came with a big bomz aluminium spoiler on it
so they drilled holes threw it and i was wanting to put a stock spoiler on it from like a 03 or any kind were the brake light is built in it
so i was think about putting epoxy in the holes and but bondo over that sand it down prime it paint it clear coat it and then the holes wouldn't leak
and i could put the stock spoiler on it or buy a red trunk lid off of a 03 cavey
but i cant find anything so what do you guys think?
any input would be nice

so wait......did you want to epoxy over the holes on your current lid? or did you want to swap to an 03+ lid? or did you just want to put a stock wing onto your lid?

epoxy isnt going to work. well, it might work in keeping water out, but its going to look like ass if you toss bondo over it and paint it. and it WILL crack.

an 03+ trunk lid wont have a brake light built in....that is on the spoiler or in the back glass....the light bar that goes across the trunk lid on the 03+s is for reflectors and styling, not 3rd brake light function

depending on where the aluminum wing was mounted, it might be possible that the stock wing would cover the new holes that were drilled. if it does, just fill in the holes and install a stock wing and you should be ok. if not, scrap the lid and get another trunk lid because itll be cheaper and easier in the long run.

yea thats what i mean i want the stock spoiler with the 3rd brake light assmbly but my trunk lid has that alumiuim spoiler on it
and no i cant but a stock one in those holes to far back i wanted to put a spoiler off like a 00+
so i proly should get a new lid but i cant find anything my car is bright red and i cant find any stock red wings or trunk lids
so idk what to do

ok youre killing me here dude. first, use some form of punctuation. second, fill out your profile. third, if you cant find a red cavalier trunk lid, then im not sure what to tell you. they only made a few hundred thousand red cavs between 95-05.....

check out ebay, the classifieds, and the regional forums. youll find a red trunk lid.
