We've got a cavi base sedan, and we're putting a new trunk lid on it. Problem is it doesn't have any of the parts needed that go from the lock cyl to the latch to open the trunk.
I was wondering if someone can maybe take a quick photo of their trunk so I can see what's there that actuates the latch.
Our car does not have a trunk popper in the car. it has no power options. It is a base sedan. no frills no thrills.
I just need to figure out what we have to get to be able to open our new trunk the way it's supposed to be opened.
Here is mine, it is an 05:
The cable at the 10 o'clock position goes to the lock cylinder, and the wires run somewhere else.
I've got a 99 sedan of that 05 doesn't help you.
Mines just a key tumbler and cable operated.
Could you show me a larger pic rosesunkist? Maybe one of how the cable is routed?
And to see if it's any different, since our sedan is also a 99, maybe you could snap a pic cody?
I'll get ya a pic tomorrow if nobody's posted...
yeah, I need to figure out if I need a solenoid or something
Yup that's perfect. Exactly what I needed to see. I'm going to print that top one out and bring it to the stealership and get that cable and the thing behind the latch.
