i couldn't find this

so after a quick search (READ:: QUICK) i was unable to find out the answer to my question, and its not in the front end swap sticky.

but without paint, how much does it ussually cost to swap to an 03-05 cavalier front end, stock. I would like the prices total of both stock and used, and maybe if anyones done this, how much they paid TOTAL. My plan is to do the swap, and use a carbon hood, bomex front bumper and factory lights/fenders, sometime in the future. So if anyone knows ABOUT how much it would cost to go from stock 00-02 to a stock 03-05 that would be just friggin SWELL

thanks

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

If you want brand new parts right from GM, I would use GM Parts Direct, it'll be a few bucks cheaper than the parts counter at a GM dealer. They get about $200 for the bumper, about $20 for the hardware (bolts & brackets), $380 for the hood, $300 for the head lamps, and you can use your existing fenders....so you're looking at about $900-$1000 bucks.

I'd say you best bet is go to a junk yard or find members here on the org to buy stuff from, people on here are always trying to get rid of stuff....you can probably do the whole swap for less than $300.
Check ebay too. I got a set of OEM headlamps there to turn into projectors for $110 shipped.
Hope that helps.

Oh, to start you off I have a black OEM 2004 bumper you can have $50 plus shipping.

both new and used prices will vary by region. for price quotes, go to your local dealership and ask. then take those #s and check out gm parts direct. then go to a junk yard or your regional forum and see if anyone has what you need for sale.

best bet is to find someone who wants to swap with you. i did my cavfire conversion like that 6 years ago and it didnt cost me a dime.

Don't think he would have much luck with the trade. Personal opinion, the newer front end looked better and I don't see someone going backwards...

get the ebay headlights ... 160 i think ? you dont need fenders just use yours ... (same fenders from 2000-2005, 95-99 you have to cut the cornerlight brackets off)

if your gonna go to the 95-99 z24 front end ... make it easy for yourself and get the 95-99 headlight wiring harness.. and bypass all those relays and rewiring crap that never seems to go right..
