should I 2 tone?
Thursday, August 07, 2008 12:41 PM
ok i have a 2005 cavalier with the 2002 frt end and its sunburst org. I planning to repiant my car this winters due to some minor dents, stone chips and shaving door locks and antenna, i'm keeping the factory color but i was thinking of doing ethier a blk top or gun metal
to match my rims, i', also putting a carbon fiber hood and maybe a cabron fiber trunk. i wanna start the 2 tone from the frt corner ligth up the fender and down the car about an inch below the window moldings or below the door handles and go down half way on the trunk so i can still have the sunburst org. Or should i just keep the car all one color and go with the carbon fiber parts?

I would like to hear what you all think and get some other ideas to down with the paint.

thanks

if thats what you wanna do then go for it but i feel that 2-tone paint jobs are getting extremely played out on jbodies.

Neutral colors such as silvers and gunmetals go really good with orange. Gunmetal on top/orange on bottom, or orange on top/silver on bottom would look really good.
