Wings West Type W Kit Question
Thursday, July 31, 2008 11:02 PM
I'm looking to get the Wings West Type W rear lip on my '00 Z24, will it fit with no issues? Also, I was looking on the Andy's Auto Sport website and it refers to the front piece as a whole front bumper, I thought it was a lip for the front as well? It looks like a stock Z24 style bumper with a lip on it, which is what I want. My question is, is it a whole front bumper or is it a front lower lip only? I am considering getting the GM Accessory front lip as well but I can't find it anywhere. Last question, what other front and rear lip kits are there besides the LS Sport, Type W, and GM Accessory ones? If you could post pics of other available ones (side skirts won't be needed, as I plan on keeping the stock Z24 skirts) it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

the w-kit is all lips all the way around.

I had some slight fitment issues with mine, no more than to be expected. Very nice kit, it survived 2 accidents being ripped from my car, and simply re-attached (the front piece). The last time I bought a new one since I didnt want to risk my life running accross the highway to get it after hitting a deer.

It really is a very nice kit, and very easy to install.

where did you get yours from? I found each at $199 on Ebay, and I'm under the impression that these are polyurethane parts is that correct?

I got my sides from ebay, the front bumper I got used from a member on here in trade for a W-type front lip.

yes the are polyurethane. You can twist them or what ever. I had the kit on my old cavalier too. Just watch taking the pieces and laying them down or standing them up as they will warp some since there not on the car.

By the wexford exit.

For those that know how low my car is, I ran OVER the deer, who was trying to crawl to the median on his front legs from being hit by someone in the middle lane.
The front just came off, all other pieces are 100% good.

but cavy + deer @ 70MPH = bad.

He has my headlight assebly stuck in his antlers too.

i have the rear lip but have yet to install it. got it free from an org. memeber awhile ago. I have a question though (not trying to thread jack) but buying it new does it come with hardware for attaching it? as far as the screws go for the ends. I have to get new tape for it also cause I stripped off all the old stuff. If it didn't come with any screws what is everyone using just self-tapping? might be a dumb question but i havn't looked to hard at it to see how much it takes to attach.
