Polishing A valve Cover

I read one post in here about polishing a valve cover.

What are some tips you have? I do have a drill that can take some sort of wheels if needed or is is best to start at 300 and work my way up?

I started at 300 then 500 - 800-1000-1500-then 2000

Its tedious work but it does come out nice in the end

i started with 600 or 800.

just imagine whackin off for about 12 hours straight, thats what it is like. in the end you should have a pretty decent product. the faster you can spin the polishing wheel once you get to that step, the easier/faster it will be.
