Cost me $60 bucks, but brand new, still in the GM parts bag isn't too bad I guess!! Just gotta clean it up & spray a coat of gloss black on it, and I'm good to go!!
Also, anyone know where to get some colored vinyl inlays for the letters?? I saw one on here, black with silver letters and it looked sharp. I'm thinking either red or silver.....

I would say you overpaid... considering they're a dime a dozen here in the junk yards.... but still a nice edition
heres what I'm talking about, I think this is "OG NICK's" cav.......

that sounds cool, but more work than I'm looking for...

I prob did, a buddy of mine picked one up for $40. And I didn't find any at my local junkyard. Oh well, I've been wanting one since I got the car, and when I found this I figured why not splurge a little
lol

dime a dozen at the junk yard?!
i think not...
the dealerships throw them away as soon as the cars come in, so ton of them got tossed. the only ones they dont are vettes. SOMETIMES a they will throw them in the glove box though....
they are in the classifieds every once n awhile, so just keep an eye out. i paid likke $45 for mine brand new from gm, but i get a discount.
98zragtop, good job man, it changes the look of the front so much, ESPECIALLY on a black car, makes it look 10x better IMO.
personally, i collect them. i have white (on the car), manta green, red and blue, and the black one i got lucky with that came on my 97 when i bought it.
thatll really look good when its installed
but DAMN....! $60 is a hella lot to pay for that. you must be in a state that requres front plates. the junkyards in states that dont have plenty of em for dirt cheap. ahh well...itll still look good when youre done

I'll have new pics once its all painted

I know it it was rather steep, but like I said, gotta splurge a little sometimes! lol and no, I live in GA, no front plate required!!!! Yay

I can't blame ya for paying that price since it makes quite a difference. I looked for a few months when I had my Z bumper and had no luck whatsoever.
I'd go with red vinyl since your front plate looks good already.
i paid for for my filler !! still New in it GMs static wrapper... but it i also got a brand new Z24 bumper from the dealer with it... hahah so my 40 was well worth the price ... a new z24 filler plater and Z bumper !!

maybe in your state.. in our province we are only required to display a rear plate... so basically every cav/sunfire I see at the junkyard has a filler plate.... I have 2 for my car... I think I paid a dollar for my extra one..
