I have a Z24 rear bumper with a crack in it. There's not a big chunk missing out of it or anything...it just has a split about 3" long. Its urethane so obviously fiberglass/filler is a no go. How do I go about repairing this?

it is not abs plastic the only car that uses abs plastic on the out side of a car is saturn, if you look on the inside of the bumper you will see the iso code, you should see TEO/TPE/TPO, now those are thermoplastic/offlein plastic, those plastics need a adheshion promoter for any type or repair material to stick, plastic welders are costly mine cost me over 200 bucks,
take a die grinder and lightly grind the inside and the outside, then v-groove the crack, plastic welding is a great way to repair plastic, use the supplied rod to weld both sides of the crack, when it cools off D.A. the remaining plastic with 120, then you have to apply adheshion promoter that has to dry for 15 mins, remember apply it to both side you will be apply material to both sides,, when its dry then you can apply the repair material , then sand with 120 then 180, then 240
the said plastics that these bumpers are made from swell up and needs finer paper to remove the rough plastic,
that is the correct way, you will also need the applicator gun, and the repair material as well,
it seems easy online but it takes allot of experience to really work with plastic and fix it the correct way
can i haz bondo
