the only thing I changed was the bumper, because his was smashed, and i have to get a smaller radiator, but thats about it. Im thinking Im going to paint it fuscia when its done, and change the rims. Probably Konig hotswaps. Opinions would be appreciated.

never a good thing when the only tool you see in the pic is a hammer lol looks good, it'll look sick when done.

is it just me that ever since joey baggs did his s-15 swap these swaps have been popping up left and right ???? i understand mike has had this done for awhile but the s-15 swap on a cavy is getting a little overdone.
Re: New front end progress

a few other people did this swap before joey, with ^^^ the original owner being one of them. and i dont think the 5 or so swaps that have been done to Js really constitute "overdone"

thanks tabs. I don't own a cavalier anyway. I have a Sunfire, which makes this swap extremely rare. In fact, I've never seen a Sunfire with this swap.

joey isnt the first person. me and joey had it done around the same time. mine however i never took pics of. i cant really take credit for the swap since bryant had it done and i just bought the car off of him. i believe either bryant or freakofnature was the first one to do it. like ben said theres only like 4-5 people that have this front end.

oh btw i forgot to ask. kandace, were you able to just tilt the rad back a bit for the headlights? a smaller rad shouldnt be needed. did you ever get a hold of that shop in md?

lets not all forget Bob Mull....who's car inspired me to do the S15 swap

Re: New front end progress

^^ completely forgot about him. he may of been the first person to do it.

problem highlighted

I think this is to classy of a look to paint it pink.....it wouldnt look right.

to be honest i dont think pink would be bad. theres a lot of modified cars that are pink that look good. it would have to be the right shade of pink but i think it could easily be pulled off.

Re: New front end progress

I would have to see it to believe it....

I am thinking the pink in the sig....the little toon car, would look butt on the s-15 conversion.

pepto + s-15 front ended cav-fire = gross.

Do you have a paint chip of the actual color you were thinking of painting it? Perhaps that would influence my opinion.

Re: New front end progress

i think that color would be fine. its very hard to make a color look ugly. if the car is done right and not half assed, just about any color can look good on it depending if they carry the theme through out the car. i personally love that green it is now. that hok organic green is a beautiful color.

I think it would be VERY hard to carry a pink TASTEFULLY throughout the car.

I agree 5000000% about the green.

maybe black with pink accents will work. i don't know i have to do some thinking. But yeah, Im going to need to get a new radiator so im working on that, and Rod's Customs is going to do the work again.

Re: New front end progress

just curious but why would you need to get a smaller rad if everyone else was able to just tilt the top back?

Re: New front end progress

is the problem with the radiator or the a/c condenser in front of the rad? and what was the name of the japanese drift team that used all pink cars and most of them were silvias?

Thats the pepto bismol racing team.....

I could see pink if tastefully done...but i think that is pretty hard.

Re: New front end progress

the headlights hit the rad when you try to mount them up. if you tilt the top of it back though you can get away without having to change it.

im not sure who your talking about buy i know signal auto is a japanese drift team that pretty much has all silvias but their cars are a copper/orange color

for mine.....i had to remove the condenser and still needed to tilt the radiator back. i ended up needing to trim a few things and lower the rad support a bit, but it all fits in fine now. just a PITA
