Anyone on here use it yet?
How did you prep your surfaces?
What did you apply it with?
How is it holding up for you?
Any rust come back?

For $44 a quart it better be T3h Shiznit.

I'm ready for some fun.

never used it here, but i have heard that it is a decent band-aid if you prep properly but still does not beat out doing the job right and removing the cancer.

have also heard better aboot rust bullet and they also have formulations you can spray on instead of brush.

Its really not cancer yet. Its only surface rust still which is why I am tackling it all now while I have the car completely stripped down to a shell..

This is the worst of it all right in this area....

Order the surface prep degreaser and rust neutralizer that they sell and follow the directions. My trucks frame has been painted in por-15 for over a year and the paint is rock solid with no signs of chipping or flaking and no rust is coming back.

The paint stripper pads are the shiznat.....

I'm going to just go over everything I can with those. I did a little test patch and they just eat the surface rust right away. You can see where it pitted the metal tho, DOH! But its a nice clean surface with some etching from the pads so it should adhere nicely.

My understainding is that the POR-15 doesnt fulled neturalize the rust by itself, thats y proper prep is important.

I've read their site fully, and the marine clean just contains a de-greaser and when it dries leaves a small film on the metal if it is a smooth surface. The say the best surface prep to apply it to is straight rust. Next best is sand blasted. So once it stops being muggy as all hell and outta the humid 90's I'll get under there and start tackling this bitch.... because I have A LOT to do...
