I finally have time to start this, 05 or 06 acura MDX projectors goin in with 6000k HID kit

bend the metal tabs to remove the adjusting bracket

mark and start cuttin

tried to melt the headlight apart and it didt work so had to break the rim apart to get to the glue

some cuts after the test fit

just got to adjust and lock it in then build the shroud

well.....post up pics of the progress....I would be interested to see your foaming process....doesnt sound like the best way to do it, but if it turns out nice, then thats what matters...

well heres an up date i got the angle right for now and about to seal the back and mount it in place, im not gonna use foam for the shroud because it will take too long to cure and fiberglass will just eat it so ill just lay masking tape down in the shape i want and hit it with one layer of glass then CF

what kind of angel eyes did you get ... ccfl ?

how are you planning on sealing up the back end of the projector that is outside the housing ....
how are you going to seal the socket to prevent water from getting @ it ...

now on another note........... kudo's for you for goin out an starting these up .... alot of people wouldnt try this

next .... led turn signals

Good start, just make sure the lens fits on good before you start making the glass piece.

the foam doesnt take long to cure, and glass wont eat thru it

question... i would like to go with highs painted gloss black and lows CF, but i dont want any attention or any b.s. from cops, even tho some cars come with black, think i would get carp for it?

It doesnt look bad without a shroud, IMO. I'd be happy and roll out as is

Looks great.

I don't think anyone would give you a fish for having black headlights.

Anyway, if it's high gloss, you should be fine, because it will reflect well enough. Depending on your budget for the project, I'd consider having it done in black chrome.

Nice job so far. The CF shroud should finish it off nicely.
It's a little hard to tell from pics, but it looks like it might be cocked a little bit. Is your cutoff line level when they're on the car?
