ever since i dynamated my trunk lid it doesnt stay up all the time and i am wondering how to adjust that bar to keep it from falling.
i fliped through the chilton manual but it didnt have annything on it.
ok, you see the 3 little 'tabs' i guess you can call them on each side where the adjustment bar spring deal is sitting it? right now i bet its on the 3rd and lightest setting, simply pop it out of the one its in and muscle it up into the next one UP. do one side at a time.
I hate those bars... i had one fight me like no other. I think it got mad I trimmed it with a dremel to make my box fit, lol.
I had a spoiler on my car and when I swapped to a smooth trunk it flies up now haha. I gotta adjust it but the bar seems like it's a pain in the ass.

Mine is adjusted as far as it can go. its dynamated and also has a 03-05 spoiler on it and it does not stay up. could it be because the bars are worn out????

take one of them out, put on end in a vise, take a torch and heat up the middle, rotate the bar a little bit in the direction it needs to be to give it more 'resistance' when put it back into its tab. this will give you more springy!
same goes, just opposite if you have a cf trunk.
i find the easiest way to adjust them is to get some vice grips, clamp on and pull up/down to your desired spot. works alot easier than any other way ive tried
