Hi there last night picked up my hood from the painter and when installed doesnt fit heres the problem i had. The hood is on and working just that i had to demod to mod the cav. the items are the RKSport ss style hood and a vibrant front strut tower bar. on a 04 cav. when we put the hood on and went to shut it it stopped 4-5 inches from the latch the cause of this was that the funcunaling scoops chambers were resting on the bar keeping it from closeing so being how late it was we decided to remove the strut bar so the hood would shut properly. to me the strut bars helped handling and also looked dam good under the hood, so being said those who have or had the ss rksport hood do u have a strut tower bar and if so what kind, did it fit with out modification or did u have to cut the hood. since i just spent the money to paint it i dont want to have to cut the hood cause no matter what it to me would look bad just not my taste. I would reallly like to reinstall my bar or buy a new one and have it fit with the hood any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

my ractive bar was in the way when i added my c/f blister hood. i couldn't flip the bar though because my intake was in the way (2200 ohv). I just bought a gm strut bar. problem solved.

There is no flippin the vibrant stb. I had to hack up the underside of my rk hood too. Didn't really matter to me, I only got it for looks, but it did help keep engine temps down, considering I cut it open under the entire scoop and was just flushing air over the turbo.
