Hey i am probably going to get my car repainted soon and i have been looking around the local shops here, i finally decided which shop im going to get it painted but they asked me what brand of paint i wanted, im not too familiar with car paint brands so i was wondering if you guys had a brand that you like or that was the best, they did tell me that they used something called omni plus but im not too sure if its good or not.
I would suggest finding out where they get their paint from then going to that place directly... what you'll most likly find is that between two companies... the same color code could look different... I asked the shop where my car is getting painted and they had no problem telling me where they get their paint... so i went there and got a couple spray cans done up and tested them for the best match possible and it turned out the one they recommended wasn't the best for the color of my car
ask what paint they usually spray...
IMO dupont is one of the top quality paints but not many companies spray it
usually duplicolor is a decent paint... though not pro grade...
I'm using PPG but that's just me...

That's another good option but I'd talk to some actual painters and see what they reccomend
Whats a whole paint job costing you? i need my whole car repainted and was just wondering how much a decent paint job cost.
That really depends on what you are getting done. If you can find someone who will just spray your car, it will cost very little. A good option is it do the bodywork/taping yourself or get a knowledgible friend to help you. Depends mainly what you want. Everyone has a different idea of decent. My idea of decent is as good as stock was new. Some may expect more or less. Do research, figure what you want, and get prices based on that.
I liked DuPont... Omni is PPG's "cheap" brand...
my job is going to cost me about 800 dollars... me and a friend of mine are prepping it and priming, and then i have an "aquaintance" who is gonna spray the car for me and correct anything missed on priming.
paint is about 1/2 of that cost - cayenne red metallic w/ clear coat separate
