Headlight conversion taking place
Sunday, August 12, 2007 7:27 AM
Just wanted to post a few pics of the headlight swap progress.

I Think im going to add fender flair's and NSX Vents...

Ended up cutting (or making) new hood lines. Going to mold the front grill to the hood. Around the headlight will be connected to the front bumper.

Very nice dude, thats gonna be tits! Make sure to get some deepdish wheels or spacers, I hate when people leave the wheels at the stock offset after widening a car.

that looks killer man!! i saw your sig the other day and was like "are those celica lights? damn, did i miss his post about that?"

celica lights are perfect for sunfire fronts IMO. i actually had a set a few years ago and I was going to do that to my sunfire front end, but opted to go with all GM parts instead of mixing in imports. but now that i see it done, i kinda wish i had done it back then! again man, it looks great. post up pics when youre all done with it.

Looks pretty awesome.. although I think you should have left the hood/bumper the way it was instead of molding the grille part to the hood..

What kind of Lambo Door kit do you have? I like how your doors actually go straight up in the air..yours look much better then every other "half up" kit.

Hasn't this been done before and it looked terrible? I remember seeing a sunfire with Celica lights I think it was orange and blue..

I'm interested in seeing how this pans out, the headlights look sick!

wow youve got a lot of extra space in front of the engine bay now. planning on doing anything in there? also, do you plan on doing hood pins, because i can't imagine it'll be easy to get in there to get to the hood latch.
still great work though....keep it up!

The hood scoop thing was just a idea. Not Going with it..
The Hood latch is staying in the same place. Just putting a longer hood bar to allow to open.
The Vert. door kit has been altered to allow more lift..
Will post more pictures tomorrow due to rain.
Thanks for all the comments!

Ya know, I can pick out the little things I don't like, or that I would do different.... but all and all, I like where you are going. I personally would do a tail conversion or go back to cav tails of some sort. the little round tails just seem too small and dont quite flow with everything else.
The headlight conversion though, I think you are doing very nicely. the front bumper you chose flows very nicely with the headlight conversion. good luck with everything! im loving the shape of the front end. Just wish the rear end could be redone a bit to be a little more full, if you understand at all what im saying lol.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Yes it has been done before, but I can't think of the guys name that did it. He had the RKsport's fiberglass bumper with connards (sp). He was a good old time friend, but it has been way to long since I talked to her.

wasnt it dwayne or somethin like that?
or was that focus lights?

Re: Headlight conversion taking place

dwayne did focus lights. someone else did celica lights on a sunfire, but they did a two tone paint job that basically looked like they put an orange front end on a blue car. also, celica lights were done on the green cavy waaay back in the day....but it looked like a big green bug.
