i know this post goes against what fallen angels sticky says, but i wasnt getting much traffic in the northeast forum... soo
throw me some numbers on how much the RK Sport bodykit would cost to paint....
just a ballpark... im looking for places around here to give me estimates, but nobody will look at me because its not for "collision repair" and its not OEM...
the kit is a brand new eurathane kit, sanded and ready for primer... i dont want a SPECTACULAR job, or anything thats going to be AMAZING. i want it to look like my cars slightly above average 2000 cayenne red finish... its nothing show perfect, but i do get some looks on how clean it is...
im just looking for how much you guys have paid for your kits to be painted, how long it took, etc...
im in college and as such, i need to plan these things well in advance of doing it... im getting the RK kit at 700 from a friend, and i need paint... but i have 1200 to work with at the moment and im hoping i can drop 500 on the paint and then install it myself (the kit was already fitted to a 2000 cavalier-same specs as mine)
sorry for the long windedness, thanks for your responses, and inevitably backfires....
$500 -$700 for paint for just the kit

what he said... give or take a few hundred
Only way you're going to get a REALLY good idea... is to go get estimates. There's TONS of shops in Maryland... you may not be going to the right ones. Keep calling, see if they'd consider doing "aftermarket" stuff, then go there for an estimate. Saves you driving, and you'll know which places can help you out
BTW... I did answer your question in NE. If I'm not mistaken, I might be the only actual trained auto body tech/painter in that region
