so im shopping for underbodies. Plasmaglow has single color sets which is what i want. One option is LED (with fancy controls to blink with music and whatnot) then they have neon tubes (which jsut turn on) the price difference is only 5 bucks so my question is which should i get and why. LED seems like the obvious choice but maybe im missing something, are neons brighter???
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Usually neons are brighter and more focused. Some people have had issues with LED's not being as bright and being "dotted" on the ground. LED's will use a lot less power then neons and they will last longer too. They wire up pretty much the same, and LED's have the controls like you said that can move to music, pulse, etc. It just depends what you are looking to do with them. I've seen LED kits and neons kits installed (I have Streetglow Blueline series), and from what I've seen, the neon kits were a lot brighter.
neons are brighter as mentioned, LED's last longer...
neons you are limited to one color, LED's can multicolor...
my experence with led's i guess you can say is bad but they do work good just not as bright and the colors like purple and white and green just look bad. Becuase white is all of them on and u can see the other colors and purple is kinda pink and green has red in it. I just dont care for them much any more. Just remember when u go to install the lights but them as if they were going to never come off. they do break easly.
5 seconds to find another street...
i only want one color and these are singel color LED strip anyway.
well while pulsing to my music would be interesting, brightness would be better i think
so unless has experience with plasmaglow series (if you have please post) im gonna go with traditional tubes...thanks guys

My neon kit has been on my cars (same kit, survived my old car) since 2003. It's... 2007 now? I'd say they're still as bright as the day I bought em. Streetglow Gold Series FTW, $50 on ebay
Tubes are garbage...? Maybe you're a putz and didn't install them right
I've had my Streetglow Blueline series installed for about 2 years. Driven through heavy rain, had them submerged driving through flooded waters (on accident, I swear!!, lol), been through 2 winters, HEAVY snow/ice on the ground, and they are just as bright as the day they were installed. If you know what you're doing, you are set.
death to all underbody lights
