who do you use?
ive tried dhl, fed-ex, and ups all them gave me package size overlimit and they give me and option for freight shipping @ around $350 plus
I have called UPS a number of times to have shipped to me a full body kit it cost about $100 via ground.Of course I told them it was split into three packages front, rear and sides. If it one peice they shouldnt charge more than $54 depending on the size and wieght of the bumper. Talk to a agent on the phone and tell them what your are shipping the wieght and the size, they will help you get the best rate. And yes I have talked to different agents and they give me the same price quote. Hope this helps you out
Tape cardboard all around the bumper. I did this for my urethane drift rear bumper a few weeks ago and DHL took it.You know what will work tho. schedule a pick up for the item and just put the MAX size possible for it, and the guy will come pick it up and won't even measure.
Your actual cheapest way to send stuff that big is via an LTL carrier. Like FedEx Freight, R&L Carriers, Roadway, or Overnite. I had a trunk lid shipped to me for like $50. Also works out cheaper if you can have it shipped some place with a dock. You could also probably do a will call and have them hold it at the terminal and you pick it up local.
