Thinking about possibly doing the flip-flop trunk conversion to my '95 Z24...wondering if anyone has an opinion if it is a good idea, overdone, looks cheap, etc.
Just looking for opinions good and bad...all welcome
this is a mod i feel indifferent about. honestly, if you bootch it, your trunk wont seal and you'll have a swimming pool in your spare tire well.

yea i have done it but i did it the cheap way i can type up something for ya if your wanting to do it but i dont suggest it cause our trunks were just not meant for that but i got some complements on it at a show so i guess it didnt look too bad, not many ppl had seen it down here

Well yeah that is true, but #1 i don't plan on botching it, but who really does tho...and #2 my trunk already don't seal right (needs adjusting) so i know what that pool is like

yeah i like the way it looks and just will generally turn heads...lovin the lambo doors too man
im intrested on this conv. hinge. lets see some pics
all you do is loosen the bolts a little, did this on my 98 cav vert and put then back to stock
15.2@89mph 2.171 60ft. 9.830 1/8 R.I.P. "LULU"
so if i get conv. hinges and loosen the bolts my trunk will flip up and have not sealing issues
yeah post a pic that looks great, also hows the lambos work on ur drop seal ok ectc.
How do you do this on a coupe and a sedan? The arms go into the trunk lid? I've always wanted to know how to do it!!
i think the whole trunk lid set up is different. as for my lambos it seals up great it took a day and a half to get it right but its a perfect fit
when i did mine i didnt just loosen the bolts i bought longer bolts and just little 2 inch pieces of pvc to extend the trunk down 2 inches i would think if you just loosen the bolts it would rattle and make all sorts of noise

Hey i have been looking into doing this myself if anyone has some pics or instructions on how to do it would be greatly appretiated
There are posts all over this board and do a google search for it. That is how i learned. It works on a ton of car the same way with the same type hinge.
hey one of you guys with the conv hinge can you get me a pic of yours? thanks
i've got a buddy that owns a machine shop with CNC equipment that is interested in making stuff like this... custom pedal covers, etc. would there be a good market for things like this?
if he makes and they are cheap they will sell im telling you
