Take the bulb out and tape the harness out of the way somewhere, or cut the wire's for the bulb and tape it out of the way somewhere.
I know for sure it won't throw any codes. The blinker flashing faster might happen, I think that's only for the larger blinker bulb though. Take the 194 out and test it - if the blinker doesn't flash any faster - @!#$ it, tuck it up somewhere and zip tie it so it doesn't move. If it does flash faster, wrap the 194 bulb in black tape or paint the bulb itself black so you won't have it flashing behind you bumper or anything. If you want to get creative, drill a small hole in you corner lens and put it in there. Just use some silicone on the backside of it to secure it and that will also keep your corners from fogging up.
the 194 bulb wont cause any fast blinking.. its two small and doesnt set of the faster blinking. hell before i did my 00 swap both of those bulbs were blwon on mine and i didnt know it till i did the 00 swap.. so for a year before i had no corner turnsignals lol
ya, i just pulled the bulbs and taped the harness back
