Hey i have been usign a mouse sander, and a 4 inch grinder to sand away but its taking to long.
Does anyone have a nice airtool suggestion for quick sanding of fiberglass. Thanks!
say what? use some 80 grit paper and your hand , itll take some time but this way u can control what the glass is doing and its shape

large or small area? large area, mudhog/fileboard........ small area orbital sander??
use a DA(Dual Action) sander or a decent orbital sander like Fallen said. Only use the mouse if really needed cause you could probably do it faster with your hand than with the mouse

ive sanded my whole car by hand...yea its a bitch...but it works the best.
i'm hand sanding everything i'm doing. i'm too scared that i'll go too fast and create tons of waves using a power tool or air tool. that's just me though. i do have an air long board though....but that's for a different project that's currently on hold.
Tool of choice, Mudhog is your friend, friend.
Yup, do what jason said.
Lay your fiberglass as smooth as you can from the starting. The first steps saves you so much time later on during the fiberglassing stages.
I use a small block sander that fits in my palm when working on small areas, and for the larger areas I use a large block sander. I find I get a better feel for waves and such by using my hands and block sanding the fiberglass than using a power tool.
Power sanding is easier on the hands and arms thats for sure! All that hand sanding really builds up a sweat.
