Is there a trick to it?? ..I'm basically just installing a new passenger door with hinges(old ones were rusted).
I've gotten it to line up nicely when closed, but the door would need more then enough effort to close+some of the seals wouldn't be touching correctly.
At first i was installing the door with the striker in place, now i've removed it...but i just can't get the door aligned all around.
I've checked the door to see if it was bent, compared to the one that came off.. both are the same...only thing different is that the car is a '97 and the door is from a '99..but i don't see a problem there. I've already try'd searching, nothing great came back for results..or the results were just for adjusting lambo's..ne-waz if you know of a step-by-step easier way,..hehe i'm die'n to know ..thanx
here is wut i do when i adjust doors
if the car was ever in a accident then the b-pillar would need to be pulled
if not then all ya need is adjustment
rebuild the entire door, all the guts in it the weight of the window and the regulator and everything else also helps at least it does for me anyways
you should have adjustment on the pillar and on the door
it doesnt take much to move a door, i would first start off at the hinges to the pillar get your gap to the 1/4
then go to the bolts to the door that will also give ya in and out and up and down
making a door line up real nice to have the "bitch touch" is not easy and it takes all those points of adjustment to make it close nice
if ya need more help take some pics of the gaps ya have and we can go from there
can i haz bondo
thanx man, i'm gonna be working on it today..if i still have issues with it i'll take some pics
