Headlight Wires - Where Do They Come From?
Wednesday, June 21, 2006 12:12 AM
I've got a '99 Z24. Where are the wires for the headlights coming from? I can trace them to the windshield washer reservoir, but from there I can't see where they go. I'm guessing the box thingy with a bunch of wires on the drivers side near the firewall. Is that correct?

Reason I'm asking is all of my headlights work except for the passenger side high beam and my DRL light keeps flashing and sometimes my high beam light flashes on and off. I checked the bulb and it's fine. Then I checked the voltage on the high beam connector, and instead of a constant 12 Volts like I am getting at the other bulbs, I am only getting 1.3 volts. I'm guessing the wire is corroded somewhere, so I want to check the voltage where the wire originates and narrow it down to a smaller location :-)
