id change to an orange bulb for legal reasons......its already illegal because of no reflector, at least make the light color legal........and to seal it, use rtv silicone sealant.....thats what i used and mine are sealed better than stock

i believe the law requires a reflector/lens only for the rear of the car. the front of the car can be clear if you would like it to be...well in california anyway. you might want to check the books for you state. good luck.

I took out the middle circle orange reflector and left the one all the way to the left/right, and it looks damn good. I've had them in for about a week or two now and I've driven in front of quite a few cops and not one person said anything. I've even had my turn signals on in front of them.

I used the Krylon Fusion for painting them, and that turned out great too.

I believe the law in most states is that pasenger vehicles need to have amber reflectors on the side/front, red on the side/rear. Just look at how every production car is set up. I have clear(frosted)corners with no amber side reflectors, but I do have 194 wedge bulbs that look chrome in daylight - but light up amber when turned on.

OK, I have a question. How can clear lenses that are visible from the front with no amber reflectors be illegal? Plenty of vehicles came stock with clear signal light lenses in the front with amber bulbs. A prime example is the 1994-1997 Chevy S10/GMC Sonoma (and all 95-97 suv variances). They all had clear bumper lights with amber bulbs FROM THE FACTORY and I have yet to hear of anyone getting pulled over or ticketed or them. In fact, when they came out with clear aftermarkets for these trucks, (not crystal clears) I laughed at people for saying they wanted to get some because they didn't even notice they were the same thing their trucks had stock.

^^^ i didnt see anyone saying that.... but i didnt re-read everyones post. you are correct though. you are able to have a clear lens, and have an amber bulb for the front of the vehicle. you can even have a white bulb for the front of the vehicle. prime example of an amber bulb behind a clear lens...

Ok I think he was talking about clear lenses in the front which is legal because plenty of cars have them stock you can even have clear bulbs in them that are white (not talking about super white with the blue tint in them). The side markers that are visible from the side now that's a different story.
