Clear coat

My car has a bubble in the clear coat on my hood. It's been there a while and it's not getting worse, but I'd like to do something about it if I can. Short of removing and repainting the whole hood what can I do? I don't mind the way it looks now I just don't want it to get worse, is there anything I can do to protect it from bubbling further?

if it is rust the correct way would be to sand blast the rust gone
if it just is the clear bubbling off then it was a bad prep and paint job
sorry not to much you can do to prevent it from gettin better short of gettin it re painted

It's not rust, just a little bubble. Would it look like poop if I just dusted it with clear coat to keep water from getting in there?

you could try colour sading it, just sand till your throught the bad clear coat, and re-clear it. MAKE SURE TO USE SUPER FINE GRAIT PAPER, AND SOAPY WATER! 2000 grit will work, soak it WELL in soapy (not sudsy) water b4 hand, and have a spray bottle of soapy water to spray the car with. then you should be able to re-clear it, reccomend removing the hood for this

thats good but you dont need the water just some 1500 or 2000 grit paper on a DA at low RPM's will do fine just remember to buff it when you're done
