As many of you know, Import Trenz is going to be making the Turbo Sport Hood for the 03+ Cavalies.
I just got off the phone with them and they have agreed to make the body kit as well!
He said they can do the kit in urethane but it would be way too expensive and we'd need at least thirty people on a list (price would be in the thousands). Instead, he said we can do the fiberglass kit with a minimum of ten people. Those people will need to pre-pay for the item.
Once we have a list, he said it will be about 3-4 weeks to get things going, and another 1-2 weeks to make the molds. Then, one body kit will be made per day. So, you can anticipate this taking nearly two months until your kit has been shipped.
I know it seems high, but this is the pricing we'd be looking at:
03-05 Cavalier Fiberglass Turbo Sport Body Kit -- $749.99 + $160.00 Shipping -
TOTAL: $909.99
After the pre-orders are all filled and these are regularly manufactured, the price will go up to $799.99 + $160.00 Shipping - Total of $959.99.
Import Trenz guarantees the fitment despite the fact that it's fiberglass. Each mold will be a NEW mold and not a replica. They already have a car that they will be testing the kit on at their shop in California.
If there is enough interest in doing this, I will start up the Group Purchase and we'll get this rolling.

Knocking off an actual GM product might not be the smartest thing to do.... but then again, I'm not the one who will be copying it.... might want to be a litlte careful... GM might come down hard... seeing how they actually SELL THAT PRODUCT since they MAKE IT.....
well gm isnt the ones who made it..they hade another company make it which is now no longer available ne more! but is import trenz making it look like my kit the gm extreme tuner kit or the actual one off the turbo sport?!! either way i like mine better because its urethane! plus my kit was available for$999! and they want $909 for fiberglass! just my opinion!
i also think they would make more money if they made the spoiler than the kit! i have heard many of the jbo want the spoiler!

Yep! You can buy the skirts separately...the front bumper...the rear...whatever you'd like.

Really? I could have sworn Ryan aka DarkStars has that front bumper on his car that he paid an arm and a leg for from GM...
GM made the extreme tuner which was smiliar to the turbo sport, but not dead on
GM sold the kits but they never made the kits...someother company made the kits and then GM recieved them and sold them.
there are only like 2 cavs with the actual turbo sport kit and that is the turbo sport cavs. the kit that darkstars and some others have is slightly different
I have the Xtreme tuner front... its bought through GM but not made by GM, I tink its considered a GM liscenced accesory but yes its no longer in production.

to be honest I'm not really sure but it isn't urethane, its like ABS plastic but not
i just thought it was... never really paid much attention 2 the material but ya i can c it does seem like abs plastic.. i think i do remember and abs sticker on the front bumper cover! but who knows! i just know i like it better than fiberglass.
