has anyone ever tried to put the 00-02 LS rear lip on an 03-05 base rear bumper??
im looking for a bumper to line up with my bigmouth kit, and i have a base bumper, just curious if that would work or not. any help/info is appreciated

but agree the rear prolly would, and the front most definately wouldnt, and would look aweful either way
i don't see why the rear wouldn't work, the bumpers are pretty much the same.

^^i agree, but it could go wither way. it could look nice, but then again the little flare of the bottom of the 03 makes me kinda think it might bow out a bit

so next question.........anyone know where i can get the part number for the plastic mounting brackets for the 03-05 rear?? i hacked mine up to accomodate my old type-J rear, so i cut off the part that attaches to the tail filler parts, and im gonna need that to make my stocker work. anyone???

yeah lost, when I get off work I will try to get pics of my ghetto mounting brackets because I hacked off the little tabs off the lip. but if I had to do it again I would just cut the little slits.

Donovan - no, it goes inside the bumper, then the bolts in the trunk screw into this piece to hold the bumper on. attached to this piece, theres tabs that come up to hold the pieces under the tails in place.
redeco - id like to see how you mounted it. im definately doing this. that looks damn good, and apparently theres no one else with this done, lol.
ps- do you know the brackets im talking about above?

it appears to be part # 5 in the diagram for the 03.
but, it also appears i can use part #5 from the 02 diagram. thats the part connected to part #5 in the 03 i was talkin about, but since i cut mine, i could just use the 00-02 one
anyone know any actual part number for either, or where i could grab some??

the downside. is i go to school in Canada. so thus having to ship over the border....
