anyone know were I can buy just the sides?
karo at carcustoms.net sells rksport items. ask him if you can just buy the sides. if not check the classifieds or the regionals
also do the skirts come with that scoop?
gravana tuning sells them but they don't have a picture for them
that doesnt mean anything
I believe paco laco has a set in the classifieds for sale...
I wanted to see some pic to see if the skirts came with those scoops.
One can only assume the scoops would be there... but when you assume you make an a$$ outta U and me. Actually, I'm buying them on their own too, so great a$$es must think alike, lol.
ive got a set willing to sell......
im looking for some IF sides.
who sells the IF sides w/ lowest price?

by "scoops" if you're talking about the door strikes (the small trim part that goes on the door), then yes, they do come with them. just make sure to double check with whoever you buy from that the door strikes will be in the package.
^^^ I disagree--most of the time they're sold seperately, which I think is why you see so many people without them on the doors.
Get in touch with Travi at
Tuner Revolution. He's great to deal with--got my Type-J sides and strikes QUITE promptly. Great price, too.
The side skirts come with everything except the part that goes across the door (scoops?
) I think there're better pics in my registry, if it helps.
by "scoops" i think he may be talking about the back part of the skirts. the part between the rear wheel and the door. thats the only part that looks like a 'scoop'. if so then, yes...
if not then, what they've said above

thats what i thought he meant. yes its part of the side skirt just like the drift sides and trd sides have theirs built in, the type js have theirs all built in.
also i was under the same assumption that the striker piece was sold seperate because i dont see alot of cavs with those and those sides, kinda like how the drift door skin was sold seperatly from the sides
It may or may not be sold seperate, mine came with them.

yes thats what i meant the scoop by the rear wheels. My car already has those door strike looking things.
^^^^is the door strike the molding on the door? If so mine came stock with that
its not the same as stock, mine came with them.. since one part goes on the car and one part goes on the door it just comes in two peices and takes place of your side molding now.. its a "more agressive" side molding
hard part either way is getting it to stay
I stil dont know what to use to keep it on. Im thnking about trying some green backing 3m tape but idk

nope, different piece. you have to remove your door moldings when you put on these side skirts and the new door strike goes in place of those. they are styled differently, so the stock door moldings won't look right with the type j sides.
I have to agree with you, Karnage. These skirts look AMAZING, but they're a royal b1tch to get secured to the car without using screws (into the body.)
I'm taking them off this winter altogether and re-mounting them...might have to go the epoxy route
I ordered the skirts a little bit ago from andys auto sport. I didn't order the door strikes tho. If mine have to get taken off thats ok I think it will still look good with them off.
it'll look ok without the door strikes, but it will look incomplete.
