Driving along the highway and almost missed my exit and went for, I know I'm dumb. ended up running over some snow and ripped my front lip right off hanging by the one passenger side wheel well bolt. there is quite a bit of damage to the actual lip but it is fixable according to a guy I work with (GM dealer/body shop)
my question is this: the driver side where the lip ripped off of took a piece of the wheel well with it (see pic) and I am somewhat worried with not on the filter getting dirty faster but moisture getting in there easier...........there is written off 03+ cavy in the body shop, will the wheel well liner off that fit my 2002? And how concerned should I be with this small hole?

I had to replace both of my fender liners on my 02 when my lip got ripped off by a huge chunk of carpet on the freeway.
hopefully someone that works at a dealership will answer up, but I would think the fenderwell liner should be the same on an LS Sport. the fender liners are different I believe on the base model and Z24 because of the lip, so I would think they would be different on the 03+ base and LS Sport models.

Body damage/repair aside, I wouldn't worry to much about moisture. Your filter has to be practically submerged in fluid before you worry about hydro-locking (if that's what you were getting at.) Trust me...I know
Thats ok I almost destroyed my type J bumper last night when I backed into a mustang.
DAM 'stangs.....think they own the parking lot.

In answer to your question NO a fender liner from an 03 and up will not fit on an 02 and older car. They are compleatly different.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
that piece is pretty dam cheap , and more so at employee cost
just buy a new 1 and call it a day
Yeah this past winter i riped my RK sport lip off my 04 cav....well more in the line of BUSTED THE SHIZNITS OUT OF IT....lol nice chunk of ice on the high way pounded the crap out of it and shatterd the lip...Oh well my fault...Im going for the stock sleeper look so now im focusing on performance...and if not then the BC2 kit...as far as the wheel well the swap should be direct..
Good luck man
yeah, just eneded up buying one at cost+10% came to 28 bucks (can) and put it on, body shop guy says he might be able to get the lip filled and sanded by Friday and then get it in the paint booth......
my other concern is that only 2 out of the 11 clips are still in tact (see pic) so getting it on could be tough.......his idea is use the clips that are still there plus there are holes only in the middle though, that will come in handy and then hot appoxy it......in the pic it doesnt look so bad but the black you see is quite the gash and will need some body filler, hopefully it wont be too long as I hate they way the car looks without it plus it alsmost spring/summer rims and tires time and want the car perfect.

That red lip in the pic, is that a oem lip off a cavy?

Ice.... Mustangs.... giant rolls of carpet on the freeway.... who knew they were all out to get J bodies?!
Yes that is the stock lip that came in some Z24 models.......and I am sure it would fit across the car but would need some modifications to get it to fit flush against the bumper........im sure for the money and the hastle of getting it to fit then you could just buy one made for a sunfire, it there is such a think, i duno.
then again the cavy lip on the sunfire would be different and could look good.
