but it is HIGHLY recommended

The CF hoods are structurally lighter, and as such are more prone to wind lift.
(or at least that's what I think it is... )
I know thats its light then the stock hood. I'm just affarid of getting one and it flies up into my hood while I'm driving that happened to a buddy of mine.
More than enough reason right there to get hood pins.

Hood pins are always recommended with aftermarket hoods. Basically it covers the manufacturer's behind by stating so. Although the only hoods I would feel safe without putting hood pins on would be RKSport or VIS. Anything else, and I would pin it.

Yeah, not worth the risk for the cheap insurance hood pins provide. And, if you don't want them highly visible, it might be worth trying to create a nice hidden set-up. I know I'd like to see it.
