I searched but couldn't find an answer.
Basically I have a set of cf tails for a 95 Cavalier. They leaked, condensed and after a few warm days in the summer they dried out and left a fog/haze on the inside of the lens. Very noticeable.
My question is this, are they able to come apart? If so is there a how-to on that process? How warm the oven should be? How long in the oven? What do i place the light on when its in the oven.
Thanks guys, hopefully someone can help.
a couple have done this to euros.. i dont remember who exactly but i can tell u what i did for my clear corners.. i baked them at 250 for 10min.. i did one at 350 for 5 min and warped the @!#$ outta it so the second one i backed it down to a safer temp. so 250(maybe 300) degree for 5-10min should easily do the trick.. just make sure u look at them good to make sure what u need to do to pry/pull the casing apart before u bake.. like planning it out.. get ahold of Viperxxxxx(some # dont remember lmao) he took apart a set of euros and painted the housing the same black as his car..
Thanks for the info man. I just tried and ended up cracking the lense.
Oh well, they were getting tossed out anyways.
well just fyi i had the same thing happen. and i ended up just to see what would happen left them in there longer, and they came apart ALOT easyer... so i gotta look into a set of cheap altezzas and retry it. just dont set the temp to high, and let them sit for about 15 to 20 atleast.
you can get clear lenses for the cavalier from izn trbl.
