Stock Side Moulding glue?

Hey.. I was wondering if anyone knows what GM uses to hold the stock side moulding on our cars?

I have Type J sides that I want to install, but I dont know how to install it to the door, and also its hanging off at the top towards the door.

I tried the Red side moulding tape at autozone with no luck, I have searched and heard about using the green tape.. thats my next shot, and if that doesnt work id like to use an epoxy like what is factory that can be removed without too much hassle.. So i didnt want to rivet them on or use Urethane adhesive.. just kind of an adhesive in the middle.. plus I dont want any kind that is too thick that you can see the tape.. thats also a concern, the red tape was too thick..

So what should I use? Please help !
