ive heard all different things from no you cant to yes you can as long as the tubes are clearly hidden (if the tubes are exposed its considered a distraction to other drivers). if yours are red, blue or green, i wouldnt even bother driving w/ them on because you'll be pulled over in a minute

I have Streetglow Blue Line Series Blue ones installed, and drive with them on ALL the time and have yet to run into any problems. I've had them on since October, and I've driven past town, city, even State police, and they haven't even looked over at me. Even on forest roads where it is completely dark and there is no way possible to miss them, I had a county cop drive right past and not even acknowledge me. So I haven't ran into one problem . . . I guess it depends if a cop needs a ticket. My friend had his underglows on in Orland, and he got a ticket for them.

Now from what i've read, supposedly its illegal to have red and blue. If its generally any other color you can get away with it. The bars can't be at all visible either. It may depend on where you live. I see underglows on all the time around here. I've seen people with blue and red the most. A few Civics with green, purple, etc. They drive around with no problem, so it just may depend on state or local laws.

regardless if you drive with them on, it's only an equipment violation. you'll only be wasting about 10min for the ticket to be written up and about 20min to go to the court and have the d.a. write the ticket off. i've had blue on for about 2 years and have red on for about 1 1/2 years before getting a ticket. no blubs showing at all, just a rookie cop wanting to get his feet wet. he was more interested about my license plate than given me my ticket...ticket says "while activating/operating a red light in or on said vehicle". told be that a red light if for emergency vehicles and someone could mistake me for an emergency vehicle....................................i'll leave that one only.......

Nope, it ain't stock.

mine are red and iv never been pulled over for it, of coarse in ohio its not illegal to drive with neons unless they're blinding other drivers

The laws for the lighs are ridiculous. Now, if you had blue tubes on top of the car, thats one thing. How in the blue hell neon glow from under the car can be considered a "distraction" is beyond me. If people aren't paying attention to their driving and watching my lights and crash themselves, that is not my fault at all. Its their own stupidity. Also, them saying it is "impersonating an emergency" is ridiculous too. Don't know about you, but I've never seen an ambulance, firetruck, cop, etc have lights from UNDER the car. Hell, I've never even noticed underglows in my rearview mirror, so other people wouldn't move out of your way either.

its because they catch it out of the corner of their eye and peoples first instinct is to look over.

I had green on my car over ayear ago and neve got pulled over for them. I then broke the front tube by hitting a parking thingy. Then I took all them off.

Well whats the difference between someone having neon under their car, as opposed to video stores, amusement parks, theaters, etc having HUGE neon lights on the side of the streets? If people actually drove and watched the road, there wouldn't be problems.

I had a friend who wired his right into the head lights on his focus so his were always on. Not to mention he also had the bulbs on the side completely visible. Never got pulled over once.

Re: Streetglow

red lights are not illegal because they have to have red lights because of the brake/driving lights in the rear

Whats up people?

Must be some bright neon lights to blind some one.
