Has anyone gotten a trunk conversion (where the trunk opens differently)

I was going to , but I bought the wring sized hinges, would it be fine if I used 2 1/2 inch Barrel bolts instead of 2 inches, and if I used 4 inch strap hinges instead of 3 inches

Thanks, Peace

the bolt length shouldn't matter, you can always cut them down if they get in the way of anything, and as far as longer hinges go, i doubt there would be any problem. sounds like you're talking about doing a flip flop trunk. i used to have that done, but i can't remember the sizes of anything i used. sorry i'm not more helpful.

Im doing the flip flop trunk conversion, the Slide Latch way

The trunk goes up, but the reverse lights stay parallel to the groud... if that helps

Im going to try it 2morrow, cuz it was 2 cold today...hope they wont get in the way

Thanks

The front lip never stays sealed, letting water/snow in, it rattles on bass, and will never be parallel unless you put in spacers so it stays horizontal and not just slanted...
