I was just curious as to how hard it is to install lambo doors? How many people have done this themselves, and how long did it take?

hey man, it will depend on which kit you get... some will bolt right up, some will require alittle drilling and what not...
Well, it will be a kit off of ebay. Will those be just as good?

I wouldnt bother buying the garbage they sell on there.
My hinge took about 2 hours to install but I have my sides molded so I couldnt take off the fender. Pass side is suicided so I only installed 1 lambo hinge.
I would stay away from ebay how much they running ya? You get what you pay foron ebay if they are at a cheap price then they are probably a cheap product. If i were going to buy something that costs a little grip then i would buy from the business on JBO. Joe from modified i think is still running a gp on them check him out. It took us about 3hrs to get both hinges on a friends car due to the fact that you have to align, drill, so on so forth
well I have the VIS hindges...I've installed the MMS hindges aswell...I found that the drivers side on it (on one section of the hidge) was a bit too thick and had to be cut down a bit. For unbolting your door, thenre-mounting the new hindge, playing with the settings so the door opens and closes without gaps takes about 2 hrs a door...but then the process of extending all the wires...i had 16 wires on the drivers side and 14 on the passenger side..that took the longest to do...
leave a day to do the install...to get everything done properly.

Wiring was the most time consuming, and mine still arent even finished
.
I paid $750 for 1 side. Well worth the money.

I also have the RedRum kit , that i bought from RedRum in NJ personally, Wade is an excellent person , and my shock was weak , he sent me a replacement free of charge.
i installed my own kit, it took me and a buddy about 5 hours that includes trearing off the whole front of the car( i had some other things to do) hood, fenders, front bumper and putting it back on. it was really easy.
I was just on modified-motorsports web site and the cheapest kit was $699

I bought a kit from Ebay- It took me By Myself 4 hours total. I did it to a Red Sedan 2003 it used to be on ebay under redrum customs. I paid $400 both sides.
Mine arent VDI. Mine was custom made by Speedway Performance. So I know they arent going to give way like so many peoples have already. And when I get out of my car I dont want to have to duck just to not hit my head on the door, personal preference I guess.
And yes mine can go beyond 90 degrees, mine can actually hit my hood if I open them all the way.
Infact heres a pic of mine all the way up with the suicide door open too. The lambo can go another 15 degrees further open.
