Hate to say it but that's why I don't use single stage...

I'd repaint it. Can't really effectively wetsand and buff out a single stage paintjob

base clear is the way to go

yes you can. use some 1200 and a hard block, wet sand it down. Use 2000 to finish it up. buff it out with some diamond cut compound (3M) then use a foam pad with some dual action polish cleaner then finish that up with some hand polish. if done right it will look like it was never there, just don't brake through the paint into the sealer/primer and you will be good. how many coats of single stage did you use?

she is right, to effectively remove dirt a run from single stage you need 5 to 6 coats on it to sand and buff, my question is why on god`s green earth did ya use single stage??
back in the 80`s when single stage was thicker ya you can buff till the cows come home but now single stage is urathene so ya can`t really sand and buff that much unless you have allot of material on the car

but if single stage floats your boat and put`s the cream in your twinkie tell me how many coats did ya put on??? then i will tell ya if ya can buff it or not

can i haz bondo
