you sanded too much. take it to a paint shop and talk to them

If your name is Mr. Crunch, and you joined the Navy, would you eventually be Captain Crunch?

Go get some 3m fine grit rubbing compound. Use that. Polish is not a compound and neather is a wax. They will not get sanding marks out.

sounds like ya need to buff it with a machine buffer not a orbital buffer you buy from sears a real buffer either use a foam cutting pad or a woll pad and then a foam polishin pad
but if ya don`t know how to buff then don`t do it you can do some damage if ya don`t know how to buff

can i haz bondo

was it painted recently?

if so... it could also be that you used wax on a fresh paintjob. After paint, you're not supposed to wax your car for at least 90 days. The dealership I worked at even said that, and we did bake every paint job. (some people will say that if you bake a car after paint, you don't have to wait to wax).

Clear coat has microscopic "pores" so to speak. After a fresh paintjob, the paint will cure through the pores, usually taking around 90 days (to be safe). If you use a wax during that cure period, it will "clog" the "pores", thus not allowing the paint to cure properly, thus clouding your clear.

If it hasn't been painted within the past 90 days or so... then go with what big daddy said. But I wouldn't recommend using a machine buffer unless: You're experienced in handling them

If you've never used a foam pad... I'd recommend sticking to wool... they are way different.

or... take it to a professional.

but... if it was painted recently and you used wax and it clouded the clear, you may have to have it repainted.

it wasn't repainted recently..these drips in the clear were from way back in march or so when a fellow org member totally messed up my car when i paid him to paint it...BIG MISTAKE...live and learn i guess.

i'll try the rubbing compound, and if it doesn't work, i'll try the wool, thanks for the help
