Sunfire Sedan rear wheel well liners
Sunday, October 16, 2005 2:09 PM
My mom's '98 Sunfire Sedan has front wheel well liners, but it doesn't have any rear ones. I would really like to get some for the rear so I can keep the wheels wells nice and clean. My question is; will the rear wheel well liners from a Cavalier or Sunfire Coupe fit or will the liners have to be from a Sedan? Thanks in advance.

I believe they were added to the coupes in 02 or 03. I know there was a TSB for the earlier models that said if people were complaining about road noise or something, to put them in. I tried to get it done but they wouldn't do it for free.

No idea whether the same is true for the sedans though.

@ NeoJuice: Thanks! Wow, only $11.26 a piece... much cheaper than I thought they'd be . Are those the part numbers for the Sedan liners though, or are the Coupes and Sedans the same?

@ T Pozzebon: Thanks for the help ! Just kidding.

@ Machzel08 (Cumberbund): That's what I was planning on doing. The reason why I asked if the rear liners are the same on the Sedans and Coupes is because all the junkyards around here only have Cavalier and Sunfire Coupes, no Sedans. So, I figured if there were the same I could just go ahead and get them off a Coupe.

Great, thanks! I will try finding some in the junkyard, otherwise I'll just order them because that is not a bad price at all.

I have them put on for free when I was under warranty as a TSB (Wet Road Sizzle- or something like that). Love them as it gives a nicer finish and when you drive on the wet it is muuch better.
TSB called for drilling some holes though to fit on tight.
Good Luck

Technical Service Bulletin^^^
This is not a Recall therefore it is NOT a safety issue, so if you are out of warranty you will have to shell out the money.

^ I see . Although, I was planning on just getting them from a junkyard. I'm not going to pay out of my a$$ for a dealer to install them when I can find them for dirt cheap at a junkyard and install them myself.

I still need a solid yes or no that the Coupe liners will fit on a Sedan. Thanks.

^^^ They should fit. The wheel well on both 2-door and 4-door are about same.
If you plan getting it from the junk yard, get the hardware aswell (screws) so the fit can be nice.
