Is it just me or is carbon fiber getting played out? I mean whats next carbon fiber spinner hub caps? Come on ! I know its light weight and all but DAMN !! I just saw a mini van with a carbon fiber hood and the old lady driveing it got out and used a carbon fiber cane.

i am not a big fan of it semi all over the car. but i believe just a wing is nice or the trunck bezel. but this is my opinion. when people have ALOT of c/f, i believe is looks good too. i think you can use it just as you would with paint. rather than this or that painted, c/f is now a coice also. just my opinion.

What he said ... as long you don't over do it ... as me for example I would not do CF Fenders or Doors I might even consider Engine and Battery Cover and maybe just maybe the trunk but that's about it ... nothing more I wont even to the mirrors because that's just a waste of money and personally I don't find it justifiable to do that swap since my original mirror are fine the way it is.

i like cf too... it looks badass in the sun and it is lighter weight then stock... granted, not all cf pieces are meant to save weight (ie cf gas door, interior wrapped panels, etc)

/\ /\ /\ It doesn't piss me off but I think its starting to get played out. I mean come so you have a cf hood, great but why do you still sport the stock steelies? People are too quick to jump on the cf band wagon even if they have a bone stock car. it just doesn't look right.

But if yourself and others can accept to give someone time to make the appropriate changes then I would find it acceptable and will appreciate what they have accomplished. Take me for example I own a 04 Cavalier LS Sport Sedan, Made very minor changes during almost 2 years of owning my car I currently have some 17's rims, CF Hood, Minor Engine & Suspension & Audio mods. But that's because I have various priorities that justify them since my family comes first. So any little changes I can make I appreciate including people whom I see as long as they are happy for themselves then I give them the respect because it's what they can do now and what they are trying to achieve just as long they research and search and search what are the best steps to take. But that's how I look at people here on the org and everywhere in general.
But I will put in in laymans term ... let it be it's there car not ours.

And I know it takes time to build a car, I can almost gaurentee I have you guys beet in that department ! But I was referring to the guys who buy cf everything they can get there hands on but the car still sits at stock hieght has stock exhaust and steel wheels. Holy crap. What an idea. I can make them and sell them at Autozone for $100 a set.
Carbon Fiber=Fuctinonality (in most exterior cases)
interiorly its just away to accent your exterior if you have other c/f.
i plan to paint any carbon fiber i get in the future, and leave starts unpainted so that i have c/f stars.

as long as its done tastfully its alright, I like my car, a CF hood thats partially painted, CF trunk bezel and the CF emblem in the front, and thats it, but with black mirror bases and hyper black wheels, and the dark graphite interior with black in the racing seats, plus the black in the headlights so it all flows well together without being to much... but I agree some people do over do it with carbon fiber... some people will buy ANYTHING thats carbon fiber just because its carbon fiber... but hey at least people are buying carbon fiber stuff and not that crappy plastic @!#$ that is printed with gray squares and sold off as carbon fiber (like the tail lights and side mirrors ect..)
