hey i was wonderin if it not a good idea to leavem y cf hood on for the winter? i have my stock hood and i was jus wonderin? does it get damage from the salt? thanxz guyz
the carbon fiber should be ok, but why chance it? the snow and ice won't be good for it, and having it heat up and cool down every day probably won't be good either. im putting my stock hood back on tomorrow.
its fine, i left mine on all winter.
left mine on over winter too. itll look messy as heII with all the salt and sand on it between times you get to wash it, but once i cleaned mine, you couldnt tell what it had just been thru, and now getting ready for the next winter. im leaving mine on again too.
i'll put it to you this way.
IF you have your stock stuff, and IF everyone has said that it will be ok,
in the winter, why chance it? all exterior mods, including body kits, hoods, spoilers, and rims, should be taken off. they're expensive right? you can survive the two months with them off

If i had one and had a stock hood sitting, i'd deffinatly take it off. Because if something does happen you gonna smack yourself later and ask yourself why didn't you take the time to switch hoods.
