i was wondering if i take the moldings and emblems off of my car if it will show. i dont want to take it off and the paints faded and still be able to see the outline. my cars yellow if that makes a difference.
hairdryer.
fishing line.
goo gone.
(if faded, reattach.)
but depending if your car is older or not or if it has sat in the sun most of its life will also depend on if it has faded enough to really make a noticable change.
i'm baaaaack!!
Yeah, really just depends. I had a '99 and removed the side mouldings with no problem. The paint looked just like the rest of the car...
Good luck though.

I took mine off of my '99 black cavalier and you can see where the glue, or tape, or whatever it was that was holding it on. Is there any way to fix that? In between the glue strips is fine, same color as the car, just where the glue was attached is noticeable.
Maybe you could give it a good wax? I don't think there's much you can do though, since the rest of your paint is already faded, and that bit under your moulding is 6 years old

Alright thanks for the information. I will try and get this done sometime and let you know how it works.
I just removed my emblems and badging this week.. its a 96. i used a nice amount of Goo Gone, and buffed the area and waxed after. the front is the only place where it looks like it may be faded but it isnt noticable till ur like 5ft away and at a certain angle u can just see that it is a tad darker.. but i cant find it now so i think me buffing got rid of that. i havent removed the mouldings cuz i perfer to have em on for now till i can park away from everyone instead of having to park up front with everyone..
