yes, i have a 98 2.2 and i have a 00 z rear on it. bolted right up
so why does some sites post that it wont fit? liability issues?

if its from ebay, the seller just probably doesnt know that it will fit. i can tell you it does because i got the 00z rear on mine and i didnt have to change out anything, just put it on and mounted it
