I know the bumper, headlights, and hood are different (not concerned with wiring and let setup, just physical parts) and the fenders are the same except some use a little tab/bracket (no big deal whatever) what about the foam crush gaurd and hood latch? are those all the same as well? any other parts different? fender well liners, anythign liek that? Thanks

last time I checked I'm pretty sure the hood latch, catch, and cross bar are different when we did Cavfire's swap.
Just about all the crush guards are unique to the bumpers they're made for as well. I know this is true on the Sunfires at least.
They don't just absorb energy in an impact. They also serve as a support for the bumper to let it keep it's shape.
thats also what i hear, that if you do a swp between cav, and sun, that you gotta change the latch, possibly the cathc, and i dunno about the cross bar, but a cav to cav, it should be the same......

basically what I plan on doing is having an older style BC2 front end cut up and remolded a bit to fit my 03 since they will ne longer be making it.... I want to knwo if I need to change the hood latch and striker, crush gaurd, fender wells ect. to make it fit like its surpossed to once the glass work is done. I'm trying to see how much of nightmare I'm getting myself into
i would say,that the bimper offf of 03+ is longer, i dunno wether it the new bumper would line up with the older one, as in how far it protrudes out...
If you use the top part of you factory one to line up the headlights, and the sides, you could prob, fo sure make it work...

I know I can make it fit, people have done swaps from old to new or vise versa plenty of times, all the 99 style stuff is dirrect bolt on, the fenders are the same sthere for I know that area will line up, I'm hoping to just have to reglass the area where the headlights fit into the bumper and I'm hoping I wont have to but possibley the area where the hood and front end meet, but I'm still unsure about all the little pitly @!#$ that doesn't get seen
well the info i posted is for a cav to cav swap...i dont know about a sunfire to cav or vice versa. i dont have a sunfire, and ive never researched a sunfire front end, i did an ASSLOAD of rsearch on the cav/cav front end swaps, cuz for awhile i wanted to do one for myself.

wheres the info that what I'm looking for, I'm not concerned with anythign having to do with sunfires, just cav-cav
